Our boat Safaris offer an oportunity to view the land from the lake instead of the lake from the land and our 21ft boat with 20hp outboard motor will take you on a delightful journey down the lake and into the Chia Lagoon (weather permitting). The wetlands around the lagoon and the Likoa river branching off it are a perfect habitat for many different species of birds.
We can also take you to Sungu Island on day trips or overnight camping to see the skimmers and waterfowl and watch the inquisitive hippo bobbing their heads up and down in the water. We have several bird watching sites along the shores of Lake Malawi and also inland to the many natural dambo areas.
There are also opportunities to fish on the lake in our boat and all the necessary rods and tackle are provided.
